Q. How does Delta’s PMC power supply compare with other brands?
A. Delta’s range of power supply gives our users a good performance to price ratio. Our features include high efficiency, high MTBF, universal AC input and a wide operating temperature range.
Q. Are Delta’s PMC series RoHS compliant?
A. Yes. They are RoHS compliant.
Q. Can the PMC power supply operate at higher ambient temperatures like 70°C and above?
A. No. The maximum ambient operating temperature for PMC power supply is 70°C. Please refer to the power derating curve in the manual for more details.
Q. Can we use PMC single phase power supply in the United States without the need for an additional input transformer?
A. Yes. PMC power supply is designed with universal input range from 100-240Vac and operating voltage range from 85vac to 264Vac.
Q. What happens if the output connectors are shorted accidentally and remains unnoticed?
A. Delta’s PMC power supplies are protected against such accidents. In such an event, the power supply will go into Auto-Recovery mode or Hiccup mode. It will automatically restart and resume normal operation once the short circuit is removed.
Q. Do we need to restart the SPS if there is a sudden power outage?
A. No. Delta’s PMC power supply has a built-in auto restart function, unlike all other competitors.
